Natural Latex Memory Foam Our memory foam is made from natural latex rubber. Latex is a completely natural and sustainable material that has been harvested from the Para rubber tree (Hevea Brasiliensis) for over 3,500 years. A rubber tree can produce latex for many years and can reach a height of over 40 metres. Latex is harvested by making small cuts in the bark of the tree, the sap is then collected in cups. Nothing is wasted in the production of latex, throughout it's life the rubber tree produces oxygen and absorbs carbon dioxide whilst providing a habitat for wildlife, at the end of it's life cycle the tree is harvested for its wood before a new sapling is planted in it's placeWe only use Oeko-Tex certified natural latex from Dunlop, sourced from Indonesian plantations where acceptable working conditions are satisfied and absolutely no child labour is used.Apart from latex, the only things you'll find in our memory foam are organic oils and natural plant extracts. We add oils like grapefruit seed and jasmine along with materials extracted from corn to achieve the perfect consistency without resorting to toxic petrochemicals.  |
